Friends of the Urban Forest is hosting a Planting Leader Training on April 11 & 13! This event is open to all new and returning FUF volunteers. Participants will learn the skills needed to be a planting leader, and revisit planting and tree care best practices. No experience necessary! FUF will provide all tools and training.
This is a two part event. Please be available for both days. We will have one classroom session, and one field session.
Thursday, April 11, 6-8PM – Classroom Session
Saturday, April 13, 9AM-12PM – Field Session
Participants will go on to lead small groups of volunteers in Neighborhood Tree Planting Events all throughout San Francisco!

Day One Schedule: Classroom Leadership Session (Thursday, Aprl 11, 6pm-8pm)
Arrival, Light Dinner, Meet and Greet
Topics to Discuss: Tree Planting, Safety, Volunteer Management, Quality Control, Tree Biology
Day Two Schedule: Field Training (Saturday April 13, 9am-1pm)
Tree Planting Demonstration by FUF Staff or a Planting Leader
