Tree Care Team Player

Job description:
Support Tree Care Leaders with care of trees planted through FUF.

Work schedule:
4 hours on Saturday – 9:30 am - 12:30 p.m.

Duties
1. Structural pruning, thinning
2. Adjust, refitting ties
3. Replacing stakes
4. Interfacing with neighbors

Work environment:
Outdoors. Location varies throughout San Francisco. Wear close toed shoes, hat, long sleeved shirts, and long pants recommended.

Qualifications:
Good general health and willingness to learn. Interest in trees, the environment and the community.

Staff person’s role:
Volunteer to contact Tree Care Coordinator to confirm attendance. Train volunteer with basic tree care tasks. Provide all necessary tools.
