Nursery Ground Maintenance

Job description:
Great team building activity for 10 to 15 people. Outside our office is a small nursery for FUF trees. Our tree care staff will show you how to trim back the trees, readjust ties and maintain the grounds.

Work schedule:
This is a day-long weekday activity from about 10 am to 3 pm with a break for lunch.

Duties:
1. Structural, prunning, thinning of FUF nursery and garden trees
2. Adjust, refitting ties
3. Weed-pulling around tree pots
4. Restocking mulch pile and adding mulch around garden trees

Work environment:
Outdoors. Presidio office in a welcoming environment. Wear close toed shoes, hat, long sleeved shirts, and long pants recommended.

Qualifications:
Good general health and willingness to help.

Staff person’s role:
Tree Care Coordinator will demonstrate proper tree care methods. Will supervise and train volunteers with basic tree care tasks. Provide all necessary tools.
