Group Canvassing

Job description:
Assist Neighborhood Organizers in educating San Francisco residents the benefits of planting trees. Can accommodate 10 – 15 people.

Work schedule:
Weekend. 9:30 a.m. to noon.

Duties:
1. Explain FUF’s tree planting program
2. Encourage property owners to sign up for a street tree

Work environment:
Outdoors. Location varies in San Francisco.

Qualifications:
Good communication skills. Motivated to speak about trees.

Staff person’s role:
Prior to canvassing, staff shall explain the tree planting process to the group. Coordinate with the Neighborhood Organizer to schedule a date so there is involvement in his/her part.
