Tree care is your chance to help ensure that your young tree becomes a large tree and a healthy one. It is essential, and it's not as hard as you think. It includes watering, adjusting the support hardware, mulching, weeding and pruning.

Tree care is like taking care of your teeth. A little work on your part day-to-day, spend a little money every year for preventative maintenance, or do nothing and face high costs and much more pain down the line.
Want to learn more about tree care? We can offer several options:

Volunteer on the first and third Saturday of the month or during the week. Call (415) 561-6890 x102 for more info or visit our calendar. Most workdays, we have a free training workshop for new volunteers. You'll get instruction and also learn by doing! Space limited for the training workshop, always RSVP.

Attend a pruning workshop approximately 4 times a year. Led by a Certified Arborist, learn the basics of pruning by professional standards (ISA, International Society of Arboriculture).
