A Forest Forever

When you include Friends of the Urban Forest as a beneficiary of your will, trust, or other estate plan, you ensure the preservation and expansion of San Francisco’s urban forest for generations to come.  We think of it as a “Forest Forever.”

Please consider the following ideas in your estate planning:

  • A direct gift in a will
Name Friends of the Urban Forest as a beneficiary
  • A charitable gift trust
Provide a life estate for your heirs with the remainder (currently at least 10%) of the estate to Friends of the Urban Forest.
  • A life insurance policy, pension or IRA account
It’s easy to add Friends of the Urban Forest as a beneficiary, while still leaving most of the benefits to your heirs.
  • A bond with a future maturity date
The bonds that you donate to Friends of the Urban Forest today will generate more money in the future.

To discuss planned giving options, please contact Dan Flanagan, Executive Director, by phone at 415-268-0779 or by email with our contact form.  Thank you!
