Flower: Creamy-white flowers in clusters 6" across, bloom March-May. Fruit: Yellow fruit, 1" across, occasionally forms in thefall. Bark: Smooth, gray bark. Monthly Watering Needs: 15-20 gallons per week for the first 2 years; 15-20 gallons twice a month for the 3rd year; as needed after 3 years (varies by soil, sun, and wind conditions). Tree Care: Moderate. Early pruning will establish and maintain a central leader and train a good shape. Remove inner branches to open crown for light. Tolerances: Sandy soils. Sun or shade.
