FUF Youth on the Radio: Partnership with the Environmental Education Counci of Marin (EECOM)
Thanks to our partnership with EECOM and funding from California ReLeaf, we have been providing graduates of our Youth Tree Care Program with internships to build their skills, knowledge and capacity to take advantage of new technologies.

EECOM is helping us train the next generation of environmental journalists through their Teen Environmental Media Network (TEMN) program. Graduates of FUF’s Youth Tree Care Program have created over thirty, 2-minute audio reports about urban forestry issues, many of which have been featured on KALW’s EarthScope program. Participants gain confidence in addition to valuable communication, leadership, and professional skills.

The 2-minute EarthScope Radio reports can be heard every Monday on KALW (91.7 FM) right before Living on Earth at 1 p.m.
